get over your hump day
watch and listen
and realise life is pretty good.........

silent disco

I was lucky enough to be invited as my mates plus one to an amazing play at the stables theatre in
kings cross tonight.
Lachlan Philpott's Silent Disco isn't exactly a title that gives the viewer any idea of what this play is about.
I went with no expectations, no pre-conceived ideas and no pretense.... just excited for some freebies to the theatre.....
What I witnessed however,  was a truly haunting and mesmerising performance, by four amazing actors.

Meyne Wyatt (Squibb) with Sophie Hennser (Tamara)
The performers were outstanding, the script amazing, and the set, minimalistic brilliance..... It tackled incredibly intense subject matter such as racism, over sexualisation of teenagers, and the desperate plight of the high school teacher, trying to educate disadvantaged youth into believing they are worth more than their history suggests.

Runs till the 4th June 2011.... do yourself a favour and check it!
